Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient form of internal Chinese martial
arts. It is based on the Chinese philosophy of Yin Yang, the
balancing of positive and negative energies found in nature.
The motions of Tai Chi Chuan are circular, smooth, and
flowing. Basic movements are generally practiced very slowly,
emphasizing concentration and relaxation. A variety of
two-person drills are taught, allowing the student to
understand the correct applications and flow of the
techniques. Students will learn in a progressive fashion from
experienced and specially trained teachers.
In China, Tai Chi Chuan is practiced by the elderly on a regular basis for health and longevity. In general, Tai Chi Chuan is ideally suited to students of all ages interested in developing balance, internal strength, and good health. Tai-Chi Classes are held:
